This archeological project takes place in Can Sadurni cave, in the town of Begues. volunteers will work in the excarvations of various sectors of the cave and have the opportunity to discover other excavations and the beautiful region of Garraf.
The workcamp general objectives include learning the main techniques of archeological excavation, raise the awareness about the importance of excavations, analyze and define hypothesis concerning prehistory and history. During the workcamp, the volunteer will : - Excave and extract, exploring different sectors of Can Sadurni cave, and prepare the excavation of the main entrance to the cave. -Participate in drawing statigraphic sections and writing data of the pieces found, recover same heritage elements of dry stones from the surroundings of Can Sadurni. -Start the construction of a neolithical cabin located in the outside terrace of the cave. -Contribute to the maintenance of the surroundings and different access to the cave.
In the sports centre of the school, matresses will be provided. Sheets or sleeping bag needed. We will dispose of showers and toilets for girls and boys.
